AURORA, Ill. (October 6, 2008) – The Rockstar Energy Drink U.S. Open, from Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena, will once again air on CBS Sports Saturday, October 18 from 1:30-3:00 p.m. (EST). This year’s broadcast format will not only show the exciting racing action at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, but will also include many features on the riders themselves.
Feature driven, the 90 minute package will capture the two-nights of racing action and will also focus on the development of the riders’ personalities on and off the track. The show will give network viewers and longstanding fans a unique look inside the 2008 Rockstar Energy Drink U.S. Open.
In addition, the broadcast will follow all of the emerging racing stories, including the Trifecta, the legends rematch race between Jeff Matiasevich and Damon Bradshaw and the 85cc Mini Invitational.
During the past two seasons on CBS Sports, the Rockstar Energy Drink U.S. Open reached nearly 1.5 million households.
