After two Amateur National Qualifying rounds, DVNTYMX riders Trevor Emery and RJ Marnoch continue to impress with consistant results in their respective classes.
Emery moved up to 3rd place in the points chase in GP while holding 8th in the MX-1 class and Marnoch has a grip on 1st in the 65cc PeeWee division and 2nd in the 85cc - 7 to 11 class.
Both riders have demonstrated that they have a strong work ethic and the results are proof that their preparation, practice and attention to details are paying off.
In GP Emery trails Steve Shore (70 pts) and Brendan Cowie (69 pts) with 54 of his own. This tally advances the team's senior rider from 4th spot after Gopher Dunes and should bouy his confidence moving forward. Trevor is relaxed at the track and at the same time very focused especially as "moto time" nears.
His "top 10" placing (8th) in the jam-packed MX-1 class is very respectable as well. Only 14 points separate Emery and Cowie (2nd in the class) compared with a gap of 15 in GP. Shane Colic sit in 1st while Joshua Long holds 3rd.
The difference between 4th and 1st place in the 65cc Class is only 10 points as R.J. Marnoch continues to dominate. His total of 70 after the Walon race is challenged by Weston Wrozyna in 2nd (65 pts), Mackenzie Machan in 3rd place (63 pts) and Ricky Beaton 4th with 60. Does it get any closer?
Watching these youngsters rip up a track at speeds their classmates can't even begin to comprehend leaves one wondering just how fast they'll be when they graduate to the "big horse" classes!
Both Trevor Emery and RJ Marnoch have done exceedingly well in the early going this season. Let's hope good fortune and hard work continue to be part of their winning formulas.
